Rio Las Vegas

Though it isn’t located right on the Strip like many of the other casino hotels in the city, the Rio Las Vegas is a true mecca for any poker player. Plus, accessibility isn’t too big an issue with the Caesars Entertainment internal shuttle service from the Strip available for free to Total Rewards members. Home of the World Series of Poker, you’re in for a treat if you choose to stay here during your poker vacation, as all 2,500+ rooms are actually suites and have floor to ceiling windows!

Just a friendly word to the wise: if you plan on attending any part of the WSOP during the summer, book your room at the Rio early so you don’t have to commute back and forth from another hotel!

Poker Room Information

Update: The poker room at Rio Las Vegas has been closed

The Amazon Room, Pavilion Room, and Brasilia Room may be bursting with almost 500 poker tables throughout each summer’s World Series, but the poker action goes on at the Rio all year long in their dedicated poker room.

Located next to the Race & Sports Book, the 10-table poker room at the Rio features 100% certified World Series of Poker dealers, meaning they’re knowledgeable about ALL types of different poker games. This is part of the reason why non-Texas Hold’em cash games break out with relative frequency here.

The Rio Las Vegas poker room holds 5 daily tournaments, at noon, 3 pm, 6 pm, 9 pm, and midnight. Each of these tournaments features a $70 buy-in. There are no re-buys, add-ons, or re-entries to any of these daily poker tournaments.

Current Poker Room Promotions

Staff at the Rio also offer this excellent promotion that’s sure to keep players happy:

  • $3 an hour in comp dollars for cash game play between 3 am–12 pm
